Privacy notice
How WantedX handles personal information, written to the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Last reviewed August 2026.
Who is responsible
WantedX ("we", "us") is the responsible party for personal information collected through wantedx.co.za. Questions, requests and complaints go to hello@wantedx.co.za.
What we collect, and why
- Enquiry details you give us. Your name, work email, organisation, role, phone number and whatever you write in a form or say to the agent. We use it for one purpose: to answer your enquiry and, if it becomes an engagement, to deliver it.
- Agent conversations. What you type or say to the AI agent is sent to our server, answered, and stored so an architect can pick up the thread with context. Voice is converted to text in your own browser — we do not store audio recordings.
- Anonymous event counts. We record that an event happened — the agent was opened, a video was played, a form was submitted — and on which page. No cookies, no identifiers, nothing that ties an event to a person.
- Abuse protection. Your IP address is converted to a one-way hash to rate-limit the forms and the agent. The raw address is never written to disk and the hash cannot be reversed.
What we do not do
- We set no advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics cookies.
- We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone for marketing.
- We run no automated marketing sequences. A reply comes from a person.
- We do not make any automated decision that has a legal effect on you.
Who processes it on our behalf
Two categories of operator are involved, and only these:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
- An AI language-model provider, which receives the text of your agent conversation in order to generate a reply. It is contractually prohibited from using that text to train models. If you would rather not use the agent, every page has a written contact route that does not involve it.
Embedded videos are served by YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you actually click play — until then the page contacts no third party at all.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and their conversations are kept for 36 months from your last contact with us, then deleted — unless they form part of a contracted engagement, in which case they are kept for as long as the contract and its statutory record-keeping obligations require. Anonymous event counts are kept indefinitely because they identify no one.
Your rights under POPIA
You may ask us what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to our processing it. Write to hello@wantedx.co.za and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are protected against cross-site request forgery and rate-limited. Credentials and API keys are held server-side and are never sent to your browser. Data is stored in South Africa.
Changes
If this notice changes materially we will update the review date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies.
